LITTLE MISS STRAWBERRY

The 23rd Annual “Little Miss Strawberry Pageant” was held at the Loxley Civic Center on Saturday, March 6, 2010. The pageant is open to all second grade girls in Baldwin County. 72 girls participated, representing both public and private schools in Baldwin County.

The pageant emcee was Ms. Chasity Byrd, a Fox 10 News reporter. Entertainment was provided by Deanna Brown and Cassie Touchstone of KB Danz Studio who performed a jazz routine. As well as one of our 2010 Baldwin County Dogwood Trailmaids, Rebecca Womack who sang for us. Little Miss Strawberry 2009, Emily Schaffer along with Shelby Stuart, Taylor Dewberry and Mary Grace Lott, one of our 2009 Finalist, all of Susan’s Sensations Dance Company performed a tap routine. The Dogwood Trail Maids assisted in presenting the awards.

Chloe Noelle Theriot, who attends Daphne Elementary School in Daphne, Alabama was crowned “Little Miss Strawberry Queen” for 2010. Runner-up was Peyton Nash McIntyre who attends Rockwell Elementary School.

Other members of the queen’s court are Jordan Rhean Adams, Madison Nicole Hastings, Hailey Elizabeth Page, Ansley Morgan Smith, and Peyton MacKenzie Yelverton.

 
Spirit Awards were given to Catharine Gordon Burch, Rileigh Dawn Glass, Reagan Delanie Byrd, and Janasia Shantaevia Williams.
 
 

The spirit award is given to 4 girls who exhibit the most cooperation, best behavior and good sportsmanship throughout the pageant.

 
     
 
The Queen and her court will be presiding over the Strawberry
Festival in Loxley on April 10 and 11, 2010.
 



All proceeds from these events go to benefit Loxley Elementary School and ARC of Baldwin County, Inc.
